Wilderness living | Do you want to go game hunting in Lapland? We recommend Råbäcken, near Lake Laggträsk, 6,000-hectares of territory comprising long stretches of marsh in the south and rolling pine-forested countryside in the north.
At Lake Laggträsk you can hunt game (capercaillie, black grouse, ptarmigan, hare) in an area covering more than 6,000 hectares and easily accessible from a number of directions, thanks to a comprehensive network of timber tracks. On arrival, you will be given an A4-sized colour map. All our maps include a grid system and co-ordinates to aid GPS navigation.
You must complete a hunting report at the end of your trip as and statistics are up-dated each season. Hunting begins on August 25 and continues until January 31. On certain days hunting for moose is forbidden. Permits for hunting game are only issued in conjunction with accommodation bookings to ensure that you and your party will have the area to yourselves during your visit.
